The power of feedback: Marrocco Earthquake
During my internship at The Green Office, I had the opportunity to raise awareness about significant events such as the Morocco earthquake on September 9th, 2023. However, amidst focusing on individual tasks, I occasionally neglected to keep my team informed about my progress.
One notable incident involved creating an Instagram post about the earthquake. My manager, Annika De Klerk-Morrice, offered valuable input on aspects like text alignment and incorporating SDGs icons, thereby amplifying the post's impact.
Reflecting on this experience, I've come to appreciate the vital role of communication and feedback in personal growth. Guidance from others has been pivotal in shaping my development, demonstrating how even minor adjustments can yield significant results.

Feedback serves as a catalyst for our growth and advancement
During my recent internship at The Green Office, I discovered the significance of crafting visually captivating designs. One of my tasks involved creating the second slide of a carousel for Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) posts, where we aimed to succinctly explain the purpose of each SDG.
Initially, I opted for a bubbly font and arranged elements in a playful manner, but this inadvertently made the text challenging to read. Upon receiving feedback, I transitioned to more professional and legible fonts while refining the layout.
Implementing the suggested changes resulted in a post that not only looked better but was also more comprehensible. This experience underscored for me the profound impact design choices can have on effective communication. Collaborating with another intern for a design review proved invaluable, as it allowed me to identify overlooked details that prolonged exposure had obscured.
I am grateful for the guidance I received, as it played a pivotal role in enhancing my design acumen.
